Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
This collection includes student-written publications from North Georgia College, initially titled The Cadet Bugler, and in later years, it was renamed to just The Bugler.
Initially conceived as a news and literary review, The Cadet Bugler initially began a quarterly magazine, then became a bi-monthly newspaper, and various weekly newsletters and newspapers. In all instances, this publication always served as a platform for students to voice their opinions and foster greater involvement in university events and activities. The Corps of Cadets news and relevant content featured prominently in these publications.
This collection provides valuable insights into the overall college experience and the Corps of Cadets during this period. It offers a glimpse into university happenings, encompassing a wide range of activities and events, including sports and student club gatherings.
North Georgia College, a predecessor to North Georgia College & State University, Dahlonega, Georgia, published these publications. This collection does not include complete runs of any of the versions of these publications.
