This collection consists of materials in the Gainesville Junior College Founding scrapbook. Of note are correspondences with the University System and former governor Carl Sanders. There are also resolutions forming the Advisory Committee on Education, bond schedules, and photographs from events held in support of the formation of the school.

Scope and Contents The John Gagnon collection includes correspondence, photographs, international sales trip reports, newspaper clippings and marketing materials covering John Gagnon's agricultural sales career between the years 1949-1990. The focus of the collection is primarily his role in the sale of equipment for the intensive poultry farming industry. This collection contains materials related to the planning of Gainesville State College's 25th Anniversary which was celebrated in 1989. The celebration activities included the creation of a time capsule, a "Celebration Day" and commemorative Coke bottles. Of note are letters of congratulations from state officials, files from the planning committee and a script for "From Cotton Fields to Learning Fields."

This collection includes a variety of institutional reports created by Gainesville Junior College, Gainesville College, and Gainesville State College between 1967 and 2011. The collection includes Retention Studies, Self-Studies, Financial Reports, Annual Reports and Library Reports. Of particular interest are the reports created for SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) Visiting Teams.

Of note in this collection are the scrapbooks and meeting minutes. The collection also contains administrative policies for the group - by-laws, card policy, and guidelines for special projects. The collection also includes the group's correspondence with the charities they worked with over the course of the years and planning notes for their meetings and special events.

Scope and Contents This collection consists primarily of letters between George A. Gordon and his family, friends, and employers. The letters cover the time just after the founding of Dahlonega and initial Gold Rush in 1832 and end about 12 years after the Civil War. Of note is a letter asking Gordon to close and lock the Dahlonega Branch Mint and transfer the key to the building's caretaker for safekeeping. The Raymond Cecil Hamilton collection includes clippings, correspondence, legal papers, photographs, postcards, a notebook, and printed material. Of note are Christmas cards Colonel Hamilton sketched along with an embroidered Scotland handkerchief from 1943.

This collection contains oral histories (video and audio) and scans of photographs related to the history of Lake Lanier and the Buford Dam. The oral histories were collected by students at Gainesville State College between the years 2009-2011.
